Welcome to my corner of the interwilds (the internet lol). I am so thrilled we have found each other. I am the photographer, writer, and creative behind this space.

To me, there is no greater joy than setting off to a new place and experiencing the beauty and energy of the country. My goal for creating this blog is to help guide others to enjoy that same feeling with the trips they embark on and help them spend less time on the resort and more time on the less touristy, authentic, wild side of the world.

How it all started

I was exposed to travel at an early age with my family, and ever since I have loved venturing off to new places to experience the natural beauty and cultures of where I visit.


After a couple of study trips abroad to Africa in college, I knew I wanted to continue traveling as much as possible after graduating. This is really when I started going to more exotic places. Through planning these trips, I learned that travel does not have to be as expensive as many often believe, and it is totally possible to build in incredible adventures while working a full-time career.


My goal for this space was to inspire and educate others on not only how to travel affordably, but also authentically. Skipping out on the tourist traps and helping you really connect and experience the places you will come to visit.

Oh this is so tough. Everywhere has been such a wonderful experience and I always get to meet incredible people while traveling! However, if I had to choose my recent trip to Peru to hike the Salkantay Trek was insane.

Truly whatever is cheapest lol. However I have loved my experiences with China Airlines and Tap Portugal.

Not long! I am still at the start of my blogging journey… but I am so excited to grow this community and share with others how they can fit authentic travel experiences into their life!

Oh gosh let’s see… I had the privilege to travel when I was young with my family, as well as in college. But I have been to Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Ireland, England, Switzerland, Austria, Portugal, Tanzania, Namibia, Peru, Thailand, Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, Dominican Republic and Jamaica (soon to be twice).
