This last weekend with my family, I went wayyyy up north in the UP, where I’m originally from, to stay in Copper Harbor. This is one of the farthermost points in the UP, on a pier extending out into the both imposing and beautiful Lake Superior.

We stayed at the Keeweenaw Mountain Lodge @keweenawmtnlodge, a historic and cozy set of cabins that once a month hosts a “Lights Out” event where all extra lights around the area turn off to give way to a clearer view of the night sky…. And wow did the stars deliver!

Dont be pressured into this fake taxi scam heading out of Lima’s airport! Uber is not always the best way of transport in every country but for Peru it was cheap and safe.
